Ron Wolswijk, Executive Director, Solstice at Renton

Ron Wolswijk

Executive Director

Ron Wolswijk is the executive director for Solstice Senior Living at Renton. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Ron started his work career there after graduating with a business and administration degree. He initially worked in the family-run auto-tire shop, but quickly changed his focus toward jobs in the financial and service industry. For several years, his experience and leadership skills were shaped by jobs in sales, customer service, business development and management.

After meeting his wife in Costa Rica, he relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2001. He worked as a direct insurance agent at a local insurer and operated an independent insurance agency for 13 years. After many years in the financial industry, he discovered a passion for working with seniors. He was previously the executive director for Solstice Senior Living at Normandy Park.

In his spare time, Ron enjoys watching, playing and coaching soccer games, eating out, and going on vacation with his wife and two teenage sons. He is an avid fan of all Seattle sports teams, but most especially the Seattle Sounders and Seahawks.

Edward Taylor, Director of Sales and Marketing, Solstice at Renton

Edward Taylor

Director of Sales

Meet Edward Taylor, the Sales Director for Solstice Senior Living at Renton. Ed was born and raised in the Greater Seattle area. Spending most of his childhood with his grandparents, he would learn about respect and the art of conversation from the Greatest Generation. After high school, he worked for a local real estate company before joining the dot.com boom of the late ’90s. Ed spent 18 years with Blue Nile, building and creating a world-class customer service experience.

While working, Ed took care of his grandmother who had dementia for 20 years, so when senior living presented an opportunity, it was the perfect combination of his customer service roots and his immense understanding of the various chapters of aging. Ed is excited to share all that Solstice offers at its warm and welcoming Renton location. Reach out to him for more information on what the Solstice lifestyle is all about!
